After completing my MBChB at the University of Cape Town in 1987, I worked in Clinical and Research Medicine in South Africa, New Zealand and the UK until 1998. Then I did an Advanced MSc in Computer Science (Human Computer Interaction) at Heriot Watt University and worked at the Heriot-Watt School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences doing research and teaching on a full- and part-time basis until the beginning of 2011.
During this time I also did UX/HCI consulting and freelance web and graphics design. Below are some slides detailing some of the work and examples of designs.
